How are the listings chosen?
Information in the directory has been compiled from personal contacts and from internet searches. The Message Board is open to any member to post. The information contained in the directory will be verified and the sources reviewed as time permits.
Is the food Organic?
The emphasis of the site is to promote local food, a strong preference is given to organic or pesticide free producers. Few local producers can afford to be Certified Organic or buy organic feed. Also look out for the Certified Naturally Grown certification.
Does my browser affect the appearance or operation of the site?
This site is best viewed with a current browser, such as Firefox or Internet Explorer, make sure you have a recent version. This will make navigating the directory and searching easier. JavaScript or 'scripting' must be allowed for the search and display features to operate.
How do I narrow the field of displayed listings?
Use the 'region' and 'product' filters, then search what is displayed.
Do you have any search Tips?
Highlight (double clock) text that you want to search for, then press 'Enter' or click 'Search'.
Use the browser search function ('Edit' then 'Find') to search all text on the page.
The display filters can be used with the search tool for a very specific search.
Make sure the 'all regions' and 'all products' display filters are selected for a full search.
